[PAID] [RPGMV] Education Fantasy Game

Well, I'm also someone who has used RPG Maker in education (I'm a librarian who has run workshops for teens, and I'm not willing to provide any details of my work beyond that) and I really think putting a call out there to random strangers on the internet is probably not a good idea for this kind of thing, especially if it deals with an institution and there is student information that could potentially be compromised.

You may really want to consider doing it on your own, not just because of that but because you can curate the game to your lesson plans more fluidly. It just doesn't seem terribly professional to me to ask someone to borrow their games, especially if you have no idea if they'll follow through or time, or make it exactly how you want.

[PAID] [RPGMV] Education Fantasy Game

I think it's a noble idea that you want to do this. Gamification in education is very interesting.

But yeah, it does sound like you want someone to do it all for you. And to be honest, most of this doesn't sound all that complicated and is likely doable in default MV with minimal scripting in a few days. I'd just buckle down and try making it yourself first before looking for help (and spending all that money).

What is RMN even GOOD FOR?

I came here because people here tend to accept games with visuals that aren't inspired by anime tend to be a bit more well received than other RPGMaker based sites. I remember setting up a page for Flatwoods on a number of other sites and there was a lot of "im sick of these sorts of games and these sorts of visuals comments" but here (which would be fine if it was critique but it came across largely more like it was whining), I had nothing but positivity here with good reviews pointing out my works flaws.

THUS

This place seems to have a better community.

I feel at home here knowing my game doesn't necessarily have to star an anime girl with a knife and bloodsplatters.

No offense to people who like that aesthetic. But RMN definitely has the most genre balance of any RM community I've seen, whereas others can be really polarizing.

Your gam in a nut shell

I mean you're going to have cliches in your game no matter what. If you try to avoid every trope possible, you'll end up with basically nothing.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

Back up once a week. Minimum.

Have a reliable flash drive or external hard drive dedicated to it.

Don't look at me like that, just do it.

extract failed

Is it doing it for every game? I had a lot of problems with Windows 10 not cooperating with those exe files when W10 first came out, but not as much now. Either Windows Defender or your antivirus might be picking them up as something malicious.

Honestly, those extractors seem to cause problems for some people and it's better to distribute your game as a zip file instead.

I can't disagree with this.

Misao = Fin

It's a pretty grey area and there's not a lot of distinguishing characteristics for a commercial game anymore, other than "It's being sold." On one side, you've can have people making freeware stuff with amazing production values, and on the other side there's zero-budget RTP games being sold on Steam. Maybe there was a distinct line at once upon a time, but not so much nowadays.

Brave Hero Yuusha Review

Funny enough, I had planned for two more Mimic fights, but I just kinda forgot to put them in, whoops.

I'm glad you liked the game overall. It was my first game with all original assets so it really holds a special place in my heart.
